FOM-Ch-Changes…The…Thought

Okay so you probably noticed some serious changes to the site here. One of which is the addition of an entirely new section to the FOM portfolio. Where did that come from you might be asking yourself? Well we’ve been up to some newness around here not the least of which involved merging with some serious old school friends of ours who are now a part of the Friends of Mine family circle. They are some people you may know as Changethethought. That’s right we are all together now. It’s kind of a a big deal as it positions us to start taking names and kicking some serious design and mograph ass.

If you are curious Changethethought isn’t going anywhere except back to it’s roots. It will now focus more on the development of the CTT creative brand which will involve the printing and distributing of creative goods like posters, shirts and who knows what else. It will also be focusing on a major overhaul of it’s information hub. It’s going to be a bit of a process but the blog will be evolving into a much more connected community that will offer it’s users the unique opportunity to sell their wares through their own individual space on CTT. A lot more content will also be pouring into Changethethought as well as a focus on getting out there and hosting events that help take the exposure opportunities out of cyberspace and into brick and morter.

As a general rule, it might be a good idea to just ‘watch this space’ as a lot is going to be happening over the next few years with both Friends of Mine and Changethethought.

We don’t want to give too much away just yet so just get excited and start spreading lots of rumors. It’s time to get out the buzz. Tell your Mom and Pop and all your friends. Maybe even tweet something or click a like button somewhere.

Friends of Mine, A Denver based motion design firm is seeking summer interns to fill our roster. We are looking for design driven students with a passion for motion / animation. Student must possess strong design, illustration, typography , 2d and or 3d animation skills. Must be proficient in Photoshop / After Effects / FCP a must. Additionally C4d / Syntheyes / Mocha / PF Track / Maya are an added bonus. Friends of Mine produces motion design for Broadcast, In-store, Online, Installations and Tour Graphics. Our Client list includes Scion, Toyota, Coke Zero, Bonjovi, Kenny Chesney, Discovery ID, GSN… This will be a paid Gig and will run from May thru August. Time for a Refresh

You know the old saying that the plumbers sink always leaks. Well we have been working hard to fix that leak and thought it was time for a full overhaul and brand refresh. We were looking to create something that is clean, inviting and fun. Let us know what you think of the new look.

Friends of Mine has just finished working with Bit Theory on their new reel coming this spring. Look forward to new collaborations with Bit Theory as we look to forge a new relationship and expand our in house capabilities to provide high end visual effects, storytelling and 3d animation to our current and new clients. While many of you might have visited and noticed the Out Making New Friends splash page has definitely worn out its welcome. However those days are now gone. We are excited to have the new site up and running. With the new platform we will have the ability to keep the content fresh and new. Check out the portfolio section for the latest projects that we have been working on. We will keep thing rolling on the blog ranting and raving about this and that. Look forward to new experimental pieces coming to reality later this summer… Its been a good year for us with good friends….
